I am a Consultant Specialist Knee Surgeon with the privilege of caring for patients across Bristol and Bath. I practice exclusively in knee surgery and am committed to providing personalised assessment and treatment options for knee pain, sports injuries and arthritis.
My practice includes ACL, MCL, PCL, PLC ligament reconstruction, meniscal and cartilage surgery, management of patellofemoral pain and kneecap instability, osteotomy (knee realignment surgery), and knee replacement.
I see patients for knee problems ranging from acute sporting injuries in professional athletes to long-term knee arthritis. Where appropriate, I will arrange advanced imaging (including MRI) and I work closely with specialist physiotherapists to support recovery and return to activity. My goal is to help you reduce pain, restore knee function, and improve your confidence in everyday life or sport, using modern techniques and with a shared approach to making decisions about the best care for you.
Alongside my clinical practice, I hold a DPhil (PhD), University of Oxford, and a Senior Lecturership at University of Bristol, where I Iead an active musculoskeletal research group in collaboration with engineers, statisticians, and AI computer scientists.
Evidence is at the forefront of the care that I provide. I welcome NHS, insured and self-pay patients, and offer rapid access to imaging and coordinated rehabilitation.
